Ashbrook HouseDublinOut in peaceful countryside, Ashbrook is a quiet oasis, yet very close to Phoenix Park and the city centre. Given its proximity to urban life it comes as a delightful surprise. Imagine arriving at night by taxi to a city address, and waking up in the morning to birds singing, surrounded by fields and gardens, and not a building in sight! Ashbrook is a beautifully maintained Georgian house, on a more manageable smaller scale than some, decorated in bright welcoming colours and with comfortable furniture. The spacious bedrooms have telephones. The two sitting rooms have rounded ends, as does one of the bedrooms; and the dining room, where breakfast is served, easily seats twelve people. The grounds include a grass tennis court and walled garden. Ashbrook is popular with business people, and Eve Mitchell, who is a delightful hostess, runs a busy establishment. No pets and no smoking. Visa, Access, Mastercard accepted. Suitable for children. To reach Ashbrook exit the N3 at the roundabout with the Halfway House Pub, cross the railway line, and turn on to River Road. Obtaining directions might be advisable.
OWNER Stan & Eve Mitchell OPEN All year except for Christmas ROOMS 4 double/twins; all en suite TERMS Single supplement.
