This impressive Georgian residence is approached by an avenue of Beech trees, set in 40 acres of land. The house is furnished in keeping with its character and there are several pieces of antique furniture about. The bedrooms are large, and two are on the ground floor. The charming lounge has a log fire and leads out onto the gardens.
A relaxed and comfortable atmosphere pervades, and guests can often be found in the kitchen with Mary, chatting about what to see and do in the area. John and Mary breed racehorses, and their stables-registered Equestrian Centre offers horseback riding. There is an all weather 1/2 km track on the farm.
Cooking is of a very high standard, with home-made breads, tarts and pies. Glorious scenic tours can be taken from here. This is superb place for guests wanting some peace and tranquility. A self catering cottage is also available.
