Belcamp HutchinsonDublinThis superb, ivy-clad Georgian house is hidden away down a narrow lane off the main Malahide road. It is named after Francis Hely-Hutchinson, third Earl of Donoughmore. The house has been renovated with he utmost care, preserving its features and elegance, whilst introducing the best of twentieth century comforts. It stands in seven hectares of fields and gardens, including a walled garden and a maze. The house is superbly furnished and extremely comfortable, and has an easygoing, relaxed atmosphere. Each spacious bedroom has been decorated with a different colour scheme and has a hairdryer, TV, telephone, and tea and coffee making facilities. Copious breakfasts, are served at the enormous table in the elegant dining room, and the large, long drawing room has an honesty bar. The owners are very proud of the latest addition - a downstairs loo (which had some plumbing problems to overcome). The attractive little seaside village of Malahide is close by, Dublin can easily be reached by bus, and it is only a few minutes drive to the airport. Belcamp Hutchinson is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, on arrival or departure from Ireland, or as a base for visiting Dublin. Neither pets nor smoking are allowed in the dining room. Visa, Access, Mastercard accepted.
