Druid LodgeKILLINEYBuilt in 1832, this delightful family home stands in an old fashioned garden with beautiful views over Killiney Bay. The main rooms have lovely carved pine door surrounds, painstakingly stripped by the owners, as was the staircase. The McClenaghans have lived here 20 years and brought up six children. The two front bedrooms are enormous, with two or three beds apiece, and they have cleverly hidden, small en suite bathrooms which in no way detract from the original shape of the rooms. Smaller rooms on the ground floor do not have sea views, but are comfortable, and all rooms have a TV. Guests eat breakfast at one large table in the dining room, and there is a lovely, comfortable drawing room. No pets and no smoking. Killiney Hill Road is above the centre of Killiney and Druid Lodge is located between Druid's Chair Pub and Killiney Avenue. It is a 10 minute walk from the DART station, with trains running every 15 minutes into central Dublin. Visa and Mastercard accepted.
OWNER Ken & Cynthia McClenaghan OPEN All year except for Christmas ROOMS 2 double, 2 family; all en suite TERMS Reductions for children.
