GlenveaghDublinGlenveagh is an impressive Victorian house retaining many original features, including beautiful cornices and a ceiling rose. There are antique furnishings, including a grandfather clock in the hallway. The well-appointed bedrooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard, providing all the comforts of a first-class hotel in an inviting atmosphere. Improvements are continually ongoing, the kitchen has now been moved upstairs, and two additional bedrooms have been added. The house is spacious, beautifully maintained, extremely comfortable, and retains the warmth and friendliness of a private house. Joe and Bernadette are a gracious couple who enjoy welcoming people to Dublin and are happy to offer advice on what to see. Freshly prepared breakfasts are presented on fine china at separate tables in the elegant dining room, which has a fireplace, soft, restful wallpapers and matching curtains. The lounge has soft furnishings and a fireplace. A quiet spot in which to relax after a busy day, with plenty of information provided for guests. Glenveagh is delightful in every way, a good choice for visitors wanting first-class accommodation in a convenient location. There is an excellent bus service to town, and the house is minutes from the DART station. There are several venues for evening meals within walking distance. Visa, Access accepted.
