Ballymore Historic Features, County Wexford

This "walkabout" open-air museum has an intriguing range of interesting places, including a Norman motte, an ancient church, graveyard and holy well. The Donovan family have lived here for the past 300 years and describe this as a family museum. The large hayloft in the 18th century farmyard builidings has been converted into an indoor museum and it has a very eclectic mixture that includes lace, embroidery, costumes, children's clothes, toys, a late-19th century wedding dress and old farm accounts and records. In the adjoining former dairy, old dairy equipment and household items are on display, while horse-drawn farm equipment is also on show.

Ballymore, Camolin, 10 km (6 miles) SW of Gorey, off the Nll (signposted).
Admission charge.
Tearoom.
