Theatre Royal, County WaterfordWaterford Corporation dates back to 1195, making it one of the oldest in northern Europe. One of the gems of City Hall is the Theatre Royal, one of only three Victorian theatres in Ireland (the others are the Gaiety in Dublin and the Grand Opera House in Belfast). Waterford's theatre dates back to the 18th century, when it was known as the playhouse. In 1876, it was remodelled; all its Victorian features, including boxes, proscenium arch and decor have been carefully preserved.
The Mall, nearly opposite Tower Hotel.
