7. Colcannon is a traditional Irish dish made from cabbage, parsnip, onion and potato.
    A very filling meal when served hot on a cold Hallowe'en night.

8. Biddy O'Connor (Early as she became known) was a 'wise-woman', 'healer' and possibly a witch.
