Irish First Names
Isaac [Iosó'g] (m) Hebrew, 'he may laugh'
A rare name in Ireland. The Annals of the Four Masters note the death of an Isaac O' Maolfoghmair in 1235. The name was used in the Glenny family of Co Down. Iosac and Iosac are Irish language variants.
