Irish First Names

Valentine ['Vailintí'n] (m) Latin, 'healthy'
A name used from time to time in Ireland, but at present it is declining. An Irish example in the seventeenth century was Valentine Greatrakes, who was reputed to be able to heal scrofula by touch.
