Butlerstown House Butlerstown House is an outstanding example of Georgian craftsmanship, with beautifully proportioned rooms, ornate plasterwork and a lovely bifurcated staircase. Built at the end of the eighteenth century, it stands in park-like grounds, approached along an avenue of trees with views over rolling Irish countryside and the distant Dunmanway Mountains. Lis and Roger have done an outstanding job furnishing and decorating their lovely home, which they were well qualified to do as Roger restores furniture and Lis used to do upholstery. The four guest bedrooms each have unique features - the Tudor room has a four-poster bed and one twin room has French antique beds and a particularly lovely bathroom with a fireplace. The beautifully proportioned drawing room has comfortable furniture and French doors leading out to the garden. The "Butlerstown table" in the dining room is where an extensive breakfast menu is served. Butlerstown House offers guests peace, tranquillity and comfort; there are no TVs in the house. The sea is only 2.5 km away. Smoking in study only.
The house can be found about a kilometre outside Butlerstown.
