Frequently Asked Questions

What is this all about?
Following some unusual events we were asked to help in determining whether a building in downtown Belfast is haunted. A live cam has been placed in a former linen warehouse to help explain happenings which some regard as supernatural. For the background to the story can be found here. However if you already know about this or just can't wait, go straight to the webcam.

Over the years, has anyone actually seen a ghost in the warehouse?
What had been a linen mill, is now a printing works. Members of staff there have reported ghostly happenings involving doors opening and closing by themselves, swift changes of temperature, unexplained movements, phantom footsteps and a disembodied female voice. For a full report on what workers at the printshop have experienced see 'the background to the Ghostwatch'.

Have you had reports of more than one ghost?
Reports have previously indicated the presence of a solitary young woman, possibly the ghostly remains of Helena Blunden, however recent sightings have suggested the presence of one or two men as well (see sightings). There have also been consistent references to the figure of a child.

Is there really a ghost in the building?
We just don't know. Many employees have told of unusual events while alone in the building, often, but not exclusively, late in the evening. Others have experienced nothing untoward. We hope the webcam will settle the argument once and for all.
